Storyline:
Middle school student Hinata is enthusiastic about playing volleyball. Although he is actually a little too small for the sport, he puts a lot of effort into reviving the volleyball club at his school. Full of euphoria, the boys compete in their first tournament and are mercilessly destroyed by Kageyama and his team. But Hinata refuses to give up and vows to defeat him one day.
Unfortunately, his move to high school throws a spanner in the works: he suddenly finds himself on the same team as his “arch-enemy”. The rivals have to become comrades in no time at all, which is more difficult than you might think due to the starting position. The constant rivalry between the two leads more than once to ludicrous moments that repeatedly bring the other players to the brink of a nervous breakdown.
