Gege Akutami, the creator of “Jujutsu Kaisen“, recently thanked viewers on the social media network X for watching the latest anime episode and also gave them some advice on how to fully enjoy the second season. We summarize.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Do not skip recaps
The last few weeks have certainly not been easy for “Jujutsu Kaisen” fans, as the overwhelming events of the second season are unlikely to have left even the most hardened fans unscathed. To make matters worse, we are constantly reminded of this with flashbacks.
But if mangaka Gege Akutami has his way, then these summaries are not at all superfluous and he recommends that fans don’t skip them either. All of the flashbacks in the second season would not be reused scenes, but reworked or newly produced in order to provide a better overview of the events.
The second season of the anime adaptation of “Jujutsu Kaisen” has been broadcast on Japanese television since July 6, 2023 and can be seen here in the original Japanese dubbing with German subtitles on the streaming platform Crunchyroll in the simulcast.
