The Dangers in My Heart Season 2: Artists of the Theme Songs Announced

-

The official website of “The Dangers in My Heart” anime has announced who will provide the theme songs for the second season.

For the new opening “Boku wa…” the band Atarayo could be won, while the singer Kohana Lam will perform the ending song “Koi Shiteru Jibun Sura Aiserunda”. Kohana Lam was already featured in the first season’s ending with the song “Suu Sentimental”. She also voiced the character Clerk in the tenth episode of the anime.

The first TV series season was created at Studio Shinei Animation under the direction of Hiroaki Akagi (e.g. Not Again, Takagi-san). Jukki Hanada (Steins;Gate, among others) was responsible for the scripts, while Masato Katsumata (The Quintessential Quintuplets) realized the character designs. Composer Kensuke Ushio (including Chainsaw Man; A Silent Voice) provided the background music. The anime could be watched on Amazon Prime Video, on AKIBA PASS TV and on HIDIVE as a simulcast. However, the latter is only available with English subtitles. The second season is expected to start in January 2024.

Sakurai launched the manga series back in 2018 in Akita Shoten’s “Weekly Shonen Champion” magazine. Shortly afterwards, however, the series was transferred to the “Champion Cross” manga website, which merged with the manga website “Champion Tab!” to form “Manga Cross” a few months later. The manga is also currently running there.

Storyline:

Kyotaro Ichikawa likes to read grotesque books about murders and has dark fantasies about what he could do to those classmates who particularly annoy him. The beauty Anna Yamada from his class in particular often features in his delusions. One day, Kyotaro retreats to the library as he often does, when Anna comes in and not only starts munching onigiri, but also hums happily to herself. Kyotaro gradually realizes that she seems to have other strange quirks and can’t take his eyes off her unpredictable behaviour.
